Agreed. Also, if you're on Windows 11 SE, that's actually a specific edition for schools, so you might want to double-check which exact version you're running.

Same here. This happened to me with an older Office version. The end-of-support notice meant security updates stopped, so I had to plan an upgrade.

This. You could also check Microsoft's official lifecycle site for exact dates, but generally "end-of-support" means no more security patches, so your device becomes more vulnerable.

Yeah, Agreed. And just to add, for Office 2021, the end of mainstream support is Oct 2026, so you'll still get security updates for a while after that.

Yeah, and it's a good idea to check your specific Windows version in Settings > System > About, since dates can vary a bit by edition.

This happened to me with an older Office version. Once support ended, I stopped getting security updates, which was a real concern.

You could also check Microsoft's lifecycle page for exact dates—they usually list end-of-support by month, not just the year. Good luck!

Yeah, for Office 2021, mainstream support ends this October, with extended support going until 2026.

Same here. I had the same problem keeping track. For Windows 11 SE, mainstream support ends in January 2025, and the 24H2 version will be supported for 24 months from its release. Let me know if that works.

Can confirm. Got it, and for Office 2021, mainstream support ends October 2026, but could you tell me which specific devices you're using it on?
