You could also try clearing the TPM from your security settings in Windows, as that sometimes resolves the conflict.

+1 Yeah, that's a common snag. One extra tip: after converting to GPT, double-check that CSM/Legacy Boot is disabled in your BIOS, as that can sometimes block the upgrade too.

You could also try updating the BIOS to the latest version from HP's website, as that sometimes enables TPM support. Hope that helps.

Agreed. I had the same problem on a similar setup. I ended up using the Rufus method the other user mentioned and it finally worked.

+1 I had the same problem with an old engineering tool. Using the Program Compatibility Troubleshooter directly on the .exe file finally got it to launch.

Yeah, that's the main hurdle. A quick tip: if you do go the clean install route, you might need to enable both TPM *and* Secure Boot in the BIOS to get past that last error. Good luck!
