Agreed, and one more thing – after you clear the keys, you might need to reboot twice before Windows Setup actually recognizes it.

Yeah, This happened to me with the same model. I had to enable TPM *and* clear the keys in the BIOS before the check finally passed.

+1 You could also check if there's a BIOS update from HP, as that sometimes adds proper TPM 2.0 support for older models.

Same here. I had the same problem. Even after a BIOS update, I had to manually enable both the TPM and secure boot to finally get it working.

Can confirm. You could also check if there's a separate "PTT" setting in the BIOS, as that's Intel's version of the firmware TPM on that model. Good luck!

You could also try updating the BIOS to the latest version from HP's website, as that sometimes enables TPM support. Hope that helps.

I had the same problem. I finally found the TPM setting buried in the BIOS under "Security" and had to enable it, then also turn on "Intel Platform Trust Technology."

Yeah, this happened to me too. After enabling those, I also had to clear the TPM from the security menu to get it to finally pass the check. Let me know if that works.

Agreed. Also, make sure the TPM isn't set to "Hidden" in the BIOS, as that can still block it.

Can confirm. You could also try a clean install from a USB drive, as the installer sometimes handles TPM differently than the upgrade assistant.
