Had the same problem. I had this issue after upgrading my mom's laptop. From what I have seen, it's often just a temporary server glitch. I fixed it by simply running the activation troubleshooter again a day later, and it linked the digital license automatically.

This happened to me after an upgrade. I just had to wait a day and then the activation troubleshooter worked.

I upgraded my Windows 10 PC to Windows 11, and now it says it’s not activated?

I upgraded my Windows 10 PC to Windows 11, and now it says it’s not activated. I’m getting error code 0xC004F213 in Settings. My original Windows 10 was a legitimate digital license tied to my Microsoft account. I’ve tried the “Troubleshoot” option, but it just says it can’t activate right now. Has anyone else fixed this after an upgrade? I’d really appreciate some help.

You could also try running the Activation Troubleshooter again, but this time make sure you're signed into the Microsoft account that holds your digital license. Another option is to use the Command Prompt as an admin and enter the command `slmgr /ato` to force a reactivation. Let me know if that works.

Same here. You could also try the Windows Activation troubleshooter from the Command Prompt as an admin, using the command "slui 3". Another option is to simply wait a day or two, as activation servers can sometimes be busy after major updates.

Following these steps fixed my issue as well.

+1 Yeah, that worked for me too. A quick restart after running the troubleshooter can sometimes help it along.

Agreed. Also, make sure you're signed into the Microsoft account that has your digital license attached.

Can confirm. You could also try running the Activation Troubleshooter again, but choose the "I changed hardware on this device recently" option this time.
