This. Agreed, and one small thing you can try is making absolutely sure Secure Boot and TPM 2.0 are enabled in your BIOS, just in case the check is failing on that instead. Let me know if that works.

Has anyone else hit a wall with the Windows 11 upgrade check? My PC runs Windows?

Has anyone else hit a wall with the Windows 11 upgrade check? My PC runs Windows 10 perfectly, but the PC Health App says my CPU isn't supported. It's an Intel Core i7-7700K. I keep getting the "This PC doesn't meet the minimum system requirements" error. I'm surprised a relatively recent CPU is excluded. Is there a safe workaround, or am I stuck on Windows 10 for good?

Agreed, it's a bummer. If you're really set on trying it, just know that bypassing the check means no future security updates, so it's a risky trade-off.

Quick tip: Yeah, that's a common frustration. The 7700K misses the cutoff by one generation, and there's no official, safe workaround—you'd have to bypass checks, which isn't recommended and can break future updates.

I had the same problem with my 7700K. It's really just Microsoft's arbitrary cutoff, and honestly, I've stuck with Windows 10 without any issues.

+1 This happened to me too. I ended up using the official Media Creation Tool to bypass the check and install it anyway, and it runs fine.

Yeah, that CPU is actually just outside the cutoff—have you considered using the official bypass to install it anyway?

Thanks! I checked and both Secure Boot and TPM 2.0 are already enabled, but I'm still getting the same CPU error. Is there anything else I can try?

Yeah, You could also try using the official Microsoft PC Health Check app's troubleshooting details, as it sometimes gives a more specific reason. Another option is to check if there's a critical firmware update for your motherboard in BIOS/UEFI that adds proper TPM or CPU support.

Confirmed working. Thanks for sharing!
