You could also try a clean install with the Media Creation Tool instead of the upgrade path. Another option is checking if your RAM is properly detected in BIOS, as sometimes a loose stick can cause this.

So basically, Yeah, that's the official requirement—Windows 11 needs at least 4GB of RAM, but it really wants more to run smoothly. The checker might be failing because you're right at the bare minimum, and some shared system memory might be pushing you under. You could try closing all background apps before running the check again, but honestly, even if it passes, you'll likely have a better experience by upgrading to 8GB if your PC supports it. Good luck!

Has anyone else hit a wall trying to upgrade to Windows 11? My PC meets the CPU ?

Has anyone else hit a wall trying to upgrade to Windows 11? My PC meets the CPU and TPM requirements, but the PC Health Check app keeps saying I don't have enough RAM. I have 4GB installed, which ran Windows 10 fine. The error just says "Doesn't meet minimum system requirements" with no code. Is 4GB really not enough, or is there a workaround?

Same here. You could also try a clean install using the Media Creation Tool instead of the upgrade path, as it sometimes bypasses those checks. Another option is to double-check if your RAM is properly seated or if a stick might have failed.

+1 You could also check for a BIOS update from your PC manufacturer, as that can sometimes resolve compatibility issues. Another option is to temporarily remove and reseat your RAM sticks to ensure they're detected correctly.

Agreed. I had the same problem. My old laptop had 4GB and passed the CPU check but got stuck on the RAM, so I ended up adding another stick.

Thanks! I closed everything and it passed the check, but now the upgrade is stuck at 32%. What should I do?

Yeah, that 4GB is the absolute bare minimum now, so maybe double-check it's all being detected properly in Task Manager? Good luck!

Also, make sure you don't have any background apps hogging it all up when you run the check. Let me know if that works.
