Has anyone else had activation issues after upgrading to Windows 11? My Windows 10 was properly activated, but now I'm getting a watermark saying "Windows is not activated" with error code 0x803F7001. The activation troubleshooter just says it can't activate on this device. I did the upgrade through the official Windows Update. Any ideas on how to fix this without a clean install?

Yeah this is common. I had this issue after my own upgrade. From what I've seen, running the Activation troubleshooter again but selecting the "I changed hardware on this device" option often works, even if you didn't. It usually reactivates using your digital license.

Same here. You could also try the slmgr /rearm command in an admin Command Prompt, that sometimes resets it properly.

Same here. Before trying that, are you sure your Microsoft account is linked to your digital license? Good luck!

Yeah, and have you tried running the Activation troubleshooter again after linking the account?

Agreed. You could also try using the command prompt with admin rights and run "slmgr /rearm" to reset the licensing state. Good luck!

Same here. Another option is to check if your Microsoft account is properly linked to your digital license in the activation settings.

+1 I had the same problem. I ended up calling Microsoft support and they fixed it on their end in a few minutes.

You could also try running the activation troubleshooter again, but select "I changed hardware on this device recently" when it prompts you.
