Windows Upgrade Help and more

I’m trying to upgrade my Windows 10 PC to Windows 11, but the Windows Update page just says “This PC doesn’t currently meet Windows 11 system requirements.” The PC Health Check app says I need TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot, but my BIOS seems to have those options greyed out. Has anyone else hit this wall? I’m not sure if I need a whole new motherboard or if there’s a workaround. Any advice is appreciated.

This happened to me on an older laptop. I had to update the BIOS from the manufacturer's website before the TPM option became available. Hope that helps.

You'll probably need to enable TPM and Secure Boot in your BIOS first, but if they're greyed out, your motherboard might not support them. Check your PC or motherboard manufacturer's support site to see if there's a BIOS update that unlocks those features.

This. I had the same problem. For me, the BIOS update didn't unlock it, and I ended up needing to clear the TPM in the security settings first.

Yeah, Also, double-check if there's a separate "Platform Trust Technology" or PTT setting in the BIOS, as that can be Intel's version of TPM.

I had the same problem. I had to go into my BIOS and actually set an administrator password before it would let me change the TPM setting from greyed out. Let me know if that works.
