Has anyone else hit a wall with Secure Boot during the Win11 upgrade? My PC meet?

Has anyone else hit a wall with Secure Boot during the Win11 upgrade? My PC meets all the other requirements, but the PC Health Check app says Secure Boot isn't enabled. I've gone into my UEFI (ASUS motherboard) and it *is* enabled. I even tried disabling and re-enabling it. Still getting the same error. What am I missing? Is there a specific mode it needs to be in?

First, double-check that your BIOS is set to UEFI mode, not Legacy/CSM—Secure Boot only works under UEFI. If that's already set, try clearing the Secure Boot keys and restoring defaults in your ASUS BIOS. Sometimes, a BIOS update can also resolve detection issues. If you're still stuck, try running the Microsoft Health Check tool again after a full reboot. Let me know if that works.

I had the same problem. On my ASUS board, I also had to switch the "OS Type" setting from "Other OS" to "Windows UEFI mode" before Secure Boot would actually work right.

Yeah, that was the key for me too. Also, make sure you save and exit the BIOS completely after changing it, not just a quick restart.

This. Also, double-check that your BIOS is set to UEFI mode, not Legacy/CSM, as that can cause a false reading.

Yeah, You could also try clearing the TPM from within your BIOS, as that sometimes resolves the Secure Boot detection issue.

Can confirm. Agreed, clearing the TPM can help. Also, double-check that your BIOS is set to UEFI mode, not Legacy or CSM.

I had the same problem. For me, updating my ASUS motherboard BIOS to the latest version finally got the PC Health Check app to recognize Secure Boot.

Yeah, that BIOS update did the trick for me too. One extra thing: after updating, you might need to go back into the UEFI and manually re-enable Secure Boot again.

Agreed, that's the fix. One more tip: make sure you're saving the BIOS changes before exiting, sometimes it's easy to miss that final step.
