I had the same problem. For me, it turned out to be a driver from my old audio interface that wasn't compatible.

Same here. Yeah, that driver mismatch can definitely cause it. A quick tip: try booting into safe mode and running "sfc /scannow" in Command Prompt to check for system file issues.

Yeah, Agreed, that scan can help. Also, try temporarily unplugging any non-essential USB devices before the upgrade—sometimes peripherals cause hiccups.

Agreed. If you're still stuck, have you checked for any pending driver updates in Device Manager, especially for your storage controller?

+1 You could also try booting into safe mode and running "sfc /scannow" from the command prompt to check for system file corruption. Good luck!
