This. You could also check if there's a BIOS update from HP's support site, as that sometimes resolves TPM recognition issues. Let me know if that works.

I had the same problem. I also had to change the TPM from "Discrete" to "Firmware" mode in the BIOS on mine before it would see it properly.

Yeah, and if you find the TPM setting, make sure it's set to "Enabled" and not just "Available."

+1 Agreed. Also, sometimes you have to set it to "Enabled + Activate" or "Enabled with PPI" in that same BIOS menu.

Agreed. This happened to me. I had to enable it and then also clear the TPM in the security settings before the checker would see it properly.

Yeah, that's exactly it. One extra tip: after you clear it, you might need to restart and go back into the BIOS to enable it again before booting. Hope that helps.

I had the same problem. I had to enable it in the BIOS and also clear the TPM in the security settings before Windows would finally recognize it.

+1 You could also try updating the BIOS from HP's website first, as that sometimes resolves the TPM detection.

Yeah, and after the BIOS update, double-check that the TPM is actually enabled in the security settings there. Hope that helps.

Yeah, Also, make sure Secure Boot is enabled in the BIOS too, as Windows 11 needs both.
