+1 You could try adding another 4GB stick, it's usually a cheap and easy fix.

+1 You could also check if your motherboard has any RAM slots free, sometimes it's just a matter of popping in an extra stick.

This happened to me. The upgrade tool was really picky and wouldn't budge until I added more RAM, even though 4GB felt okay for daily stuff.

I had the same problem. Upgraded to 8GB and it went through immediately, so the 4GB check seems to be a hard stop.

Yeah, that's exactly it. A quick tip: if you're shopping for RAM, check if your PC has an empty slot so you can just add a 4GB stick instead of replacing what you have.

Agreed. I had the same problem. I was stuck at 4GB too, and adding another stick was a cheap and easy fix that finally got the upgrade to go through. Hope that helps.

Yeah, that upgrade check can be surprisingly picky about RAM, even if 10 runs okay.

I had the same problem. I ended up adding another 4GB stick, and the check passed immediately.
