This happened to me with an older i5. I used the Media Creation Tool on a USB and it installed without any issues.

Yeah, You could also try the registry edit workaround to bypass the CPU check, but it's not officially supported.

I had the same problem on a 7th gen processor. The registry bypass worked for me too, no issues so far.

Yeah, that bypass is the way to go. Just remember to pause updates for a few weeks after the upgrade to avoid any automatic driver issues.

You could also try using the Media Creation Tool with a clean install on a USB, that sometimes ignores the CPU check.

Yeah, that bypass trick can work. Just remember to back up your files first since a clean install wipes everything.

What about your Secure Boot setting, is that enabled in your BIOS too?
