Yeah, I had the same problem with that error. What finally worked for me was creating a full system image backup to an external drive before trying the upgrade again.

+1 That's a solid plan, but just to be sure, did you run the PC Health Check app to see if anything specific is causing that error?

Same here. Yeah, and just to add, creating a full system image backup to that external drive is the ultimate safety net before you retry.

Can confirm. You could also try using the built-in File History feature for a simpler, continuous backup of your personal folders.

This. You could also just manually copy your most important files to an external drive for a quick and direct backup you control.

I had the same problem with that exact error. I backed up my entire system image using the built-in Windows tool to an external drive, and it gave me total peace of mind to try the upgrade again. Let me know if that works.

I had the same problem and that error is so stressful. I also made a separate copy of my most important files to a cloud service, just as a double safety net.

Yeah, This happened to me, and creating a full system image backup to an external drive was what finally gave me the peace of mind to proceed.
