This. Agreed, a clean install can really help. Also, try checking for driver updates from your laptop manufacturer's website, not just Windows Update. Hope that helps.

+1 Oh, and have you checked Task Manager to see if something is using up all your CPU or memory?

Also, did you check if your drivers, especially for things like your graphics chip or storage, are updated for Windows 11?

I had the same problem. A clean reinstall of Windows 11, instead of the upgrade, made a huge difference for me.

Agreed. You could also try disabling some of the new visual effects in Windows 11, as those can sometimes slow down older hardware.

Can confirm. Yeah, that's a good call. Also, running a disk cleanup to clear out old Windows 10 update files can free up a surprising amount of space and help a bit. Let me know if that works.

Can confirm. I had the same problem. Running the built-in disk cleanup and clearing out the old Windows 10 files after the upgrade really helped speed things up for me. Let me know if that works.

Yeah, You could also try disabling some of the new visual effects in Windows 11, as they can be a resource hog. Another option is to check your power plan settings to make sure it's not set to a battery-saving mode. Good luck!
