Yeah, and sometimes temporarily disabling your antivirus during the install can help it get past that final hurdle.

Same here. I had the same problem. For me, unplugging all my USB devices except the mouse and keyboard finally let the upgrade finish.

You could also check for any pending driver updates, especially for your chipset or storage controller, as outdated ones can cause that specific error.

Can confirm. You could also try freeing up a lot of space on your main drive, like 30+ GB, as the installer sometimes needs more than it says.
