This happened to me too, and it was actually a faulty power supply not delivering enough to the graphics card.

Agreed. I had the same problem. For me, it turned out to be a loose RAM stick; reseating it fixed the blank screen. Good luck!

+1 Yeah, that's a classic fix. Also, try booting with just one stick of RAM at a time to rule out a bad module.
