I had the same problem. For peace of mind, I made a full system image backup on top of File History, and it saved me when the upgrade rolled back.

Yeah, that's a smart move. Also, try temporarily disconnecting any non-essential USB devices before the upgrade, as those can sometimes cause that error.

And to be extra safe, you could also create a full system image backup just in case.

This. I had the same problem with that exact error. For me, it turned out to be a driver conflict, and my File History backup worked perfectly to restore everything.

You could also try creating a full system image backup for extra peace of mind, just in case. Another option is to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter, as it can sometimes resolve that specific error.

Yeah, that's solid advice. Also, double-check your drive has plenty of free space—sometimes that's the culprit with that error.
