Can confirm. Agreed, outdated drivers are a common culprit. One extra tip: try temporarily disconnecting any non-essential USB devices before the upgrade, like external drives or hubs. Hope that helps.

This happened to me. I had to manually update my chipset drivers from the motherboard website, not Windows Update, before it would finally go through.

Yeah, that fixed it for me too. Also, temporarily turning off any overclocks in your BIOS can help during the install. Let me know if that works.

Agreed. You could also try running the Windows Update troubleshooter, since it can sometimes fix underlying issues with the install files.

Agreed. You could also check for any outdated drivers, especially for things like your graphics card or chipset, and update them before trying again.
