+1 Also, have you checked if you have any incompatible drivers, especially for things like your graphics card? Hope that helps.

Can confirm. Yeah, and maybe try temporarily disconnecting any non-essential USB devices like printers or external drives during the install. Let me know if that works.

Can confirm. This happened to me, and for me it was a specific driver causing the conflict. I had to manually update my graphics driver from the manufacturer's website before it would finally go through.

You could also try temporarily disconnecting any non-essential peripherals, like extra monitors or USB devices, during the upgrade. Another option is to use the Windows 11 Installation Assistant instead of Windows Update.

Also, have you checked if any third-party antivirus might be interfering?
