Yeah, This happened to me. It finally worked after I used the Media Creation Tool to make a USB installer and upgraded from that instead.

Same here. I had the same problem. For me, I had to unplug all my extra USB drives and disable BitLocker temporarily before the installer would see my main drive.

Can confirm. Yeah, that worked for me too. Also, try temporarily turning off your antivirus—sometimes that can block the install. Good luck!

+1 Agreed, the antivirus tip is solid. I'd also run the Windows Update Assistant separately—it sometimes bypasses the usual hiccups.

This. Have you tried temporarily disabling any third-party antivirus or firewall software during the install?

Also, have you checked if you have enough free space on your system drive?

I had the same problem. For me, it was a conflict with a peripheral—unplugging my external USB hub before starting the upgrade finally let it complete.

This happened to me, and it turned out my antivirus was blocking it even though it said it was compatible. A clean boot did the trick.

Can confirm. Yeah, sometimes even after a clean boot, a specific driver like your graphics or chipset can still be the culprit. Good luck!
