Has anyone else had the upgrade from Windows 10 to 11 fail repeatedly? My system meets the requirements, but it always gets to about 35% and then rolls back with the generic "Something didn't go as planned" error (code 0xC1900101). I've run the Update Troubleshooter and it didn't help. Are there any recovery options or logs I can check to see what's specifically failing before I try a clean install?
From what I've seen, That error code often points to a driver conflict. First, check C:\$Windows.~BT\Sources\Panther\setupact.log for the failure details right before the rollback. Also, try temporarily disconnecting any non-essential peripherals and disabling your antivirus before the upgrade. If the logs are unclear, a clean install is usually the most reliable fix, but backup everything first.
