Agreed. Just to be safe, have you checked if you have enough free space on your system drive for the upgrade?

Agreed. Yeah, and it's also worth temporarily disabling any antivirus software during the upgrade, as that can sometimes interfere.

This, and if you're really worried, manually back up your important files to an external drive first for extra peace of mind.

Agreed. I had the same problem with that exact error. It turned out a piece of old security software was blocking it, even though the assistant said I was good.

Yeah, that's a common culprit. A quick tip: try temporarily disabling any third-party antivirus or firewall before running the upgrade again.

I had the same problem. For me, it was an old external USB hub causing the failure—unplugging everything non-essential finally got it through.

This happened to me, and it turned out my antivirus was blocking it. A temporary disable and a restart fixed it for me. Good luck!

Same here. I had the same problem, and for me it was a driver conflict. Rolling back my graphics driver let the upgrade finally complete. Good luck!

Just to be sure, have you tried temporarily disconnecting any non-essential USB devices before starting the upgrade? Good luck!

Can confirm. You could also try using the Media Creation Tool to perform a clean install, which sometimes bypasses upgrade errors. Another option is to manually create a system image backup yourself before trying again, just for total peace of mind.
