I had the same problem. I ended up going into Edge's settings itself and turning off the option that lets it start up with Windows, which seemed to help.

Same here. Did you also check the default apps settings in Windows to make sure your preferred browser is set for HTTP and HTTPS links? Good luck!

Yeah, that's the right spot to check. Also, sometimes you just have to click a link once in Edge to trigger Windows asking which browser you really want.

This. That Edge setting might help, but also check if your default browser is fully set in Windows Settings under Apps > Default apps.

Yeah, and sometimes you need to restart your PC after changing the default for it to really stick.

This happened to me too. I had to go into Windows Settings and change the default browser for both HTTP and HTTPS links separately. Good luck!

Agreed. I had the same problem. Even after setting my default browser, I found I had to open Edge, go into its settings, and turn off the option that lets it start up with Windows.

This. Oh, that's a good point—did you also check the default app settings specifically for "HTTP" and "HTTPS" links in Windows Settings?

Agreed. You could also try going into Edge's settings itself and turning off the option that lets it start with Windows and stay connected, which sometimes overrides defaults. Hope that helps.
