Also, double-check you have enough free space on your C: drive, as that's a common culprit for that error.

Yeah, and just to add, run the built-in Windows Backup tool first—it’s the simplest way to get a full snapshot without missing anything.

This. Agreed, and one more thing: double-check you have enough free space on your backup drive before it starts.

You could also use the built-in File History tool for a continuous backup of your personal folders.

Agreed. Another option is to create a full system image backup using Windows Backup and Restore, which would let you restore your entire PC exactly as it was if anything goes wrong.

You could also just manually copy your most important folders, like Documents and Desktop, to an external drive for a quick and simple backup.

I had the same problem with that error code. I ended up using the built-in File History backup on a separate drive, and it saved me when the upgrade did a weird rollback. Good luck!
