Yeah, that's a common snag. You might also want to double-check if TPM is actually enabled in your BIOS, as it's sometimes off by default.

This. Also, is Secure Boot turned on? That's another requirement that can trip you up.

Yeah, and is your motherboard's firmware set to UEFI mode, not Legacy? Good luck!

This. You could also check if there's a TPM 2.0 module you can physically add to your motherboard, or see if a firmware update enables it. Good luck!

Yeah, what motherboard are you using? That'll tell us if an update or a physical module is even an option.

You could also check your BIOS settings to see if TPM 2.0 is disabled and needs to be turned on.

Yeah, that's a solid point. Also, if it's enabled but still showing 1.2, a BIOS update from your motherboard's support site might add 2.0 support. Hope that helps.
