Agreed. This happened to me with my old i7-6700. The workaround did the trick, but I ended up just buying a newer PC later on.

Agreed. Yeah, that's the key. Also double-check that your BIOS is fully updated, as older versions sometimes don't expose the setting correctly.

I had the same problem. For me, it was Secure Boot being disabled that caused that exact error.
