Same here. You could also try running the Windows Update Troubleshooter first, as it can automatically fix some common upgrade blockers. Hope that helps.

Yeah, I had the same problem. I finally got it installed on my 6700k, but the performance was so sluggish I rolled back to 10.

+1 Agreed, signing in is key. One more thing: if you're still stuck, try running the Activation troubleshooter again after a fresh reboot—sometimes it just needs that second look.
