I had the same problem. My i5-6500 got the same message, but I used the official Media Creation Tool to make an ISO and it upgraded without a hitch.

This. Yeah, that's a classic one. Also, double-check that Secure Boot is actually enabled in your BIOS, not just set to "Windows UEFI mode."
