So basically, I had this issue with a family member's older laptop. Even though 6GB is the listed minimum, the upgrade process itself seems to need a bit more headroom to run smoothly. From what I have seen, you might need to bump it up to 8GB to get past that check.

+1 Yeah, that TPM trick usually does it. Also, try temporarily disconnecting any non-essential USB devices before you run the installer again.
