This happened to me. I had to update the BIOS on my Optiplex to the very latest version before the installer would stop complaining.

Can confirm. Sometimes a quick reboot can clear whatever's stuck, so maybe give that a shot first.

This. Yeah, and after you switch to UEFI, you might also need to enable Secure Boot in that same BIOS menu.
