Can confirm. I had the same problem with my 7700K. It's a hard stop, unfortunately—Microsoft's official list excludes 7th-gen Intel, even the i7.

This happened to me. I finally got past that error by temporarily disabling my antivirus and disconnecting from the internet for the actual installation.

+1 Also, have you cleared the TPM or reset your BIOS to factory defaults since the upgrade?
