+1 Yeah, and after you update the BIOS, you might need to go back in and manually re-enable Secure Boot again for it to stick.

Yeah, that HP tool is a lifesaver. For the touchpad lag, try going into Device Manager and checking if there's a newer driver under "Mice and other pointing devices" too. Let me know if that works.

Agreed. I had the same problem. For me, it was my older i7 CPU that wasn't on the supported list, even though I had TPM 2.0 sorted.

I had the same problem with that error. Honestly, I ended up using an external drive to just manually copy my Documents and Desktop folders for total peace of mind.
