Agreed. I had the same problem. I was stuck at 4GB too, and adding another stick was a cheap and easy fix that finally got the upgrade to go through. Hope that helps.

+1 You could also try using the Activation troubleshooter's "I changed hardware on this device recently" option, it sometimes helps after major updates.

Agreed. I had the same problem. I ended up having to enable Secure Boot *and* switch the BIOS to UEFI mode, not Legacy, before it finally worked. Let me know if that works.
