Same here. I had the same problem with an older i5. Honestly, I just stuck with Windows 10 for that machine—it wasn't worth the hassle.

I had the same problem. My older CPU wasn't on the supported list, so I had to use the official Media Creation Tool workaround to force the install.

This. That Edge setting might help, but also check if your default browser is fully set in Windows Settings under Apps > Default apps.
