I had the same problem. For me, it turned out to be a driver from my old audio interface that wasn't compatible.

You could also try booting from a Windows 10 USB and using the repair tools from there.

Yeah, You could also just manually copy your most important folders like Documents and Desktop to a USB drive for a quick, extra safety net.

Agreed. Also, before you run the setup from the USB, try disabling any third-party antivirus software temporarily—it can sometimes block the installation.
